Love this place. The same as it was (with a few minor exceptions) when my mom worked here in 1992. And still great, friendly service. Need a rec? Flour chicken enchilada with green sauce. Don't ever change, San Martins.
The food here is so good, especially any dish with their shredded beef. Staff is always nice and attentive.
We're so glad they're open again. As some people have stated, the food is absolutely on-point still. Wifey had their # 4 combo and I had the # 8. Both of us had shredded beef tacos, but I also had a shredded beef enchiladas and burrito with my combo #8 platter with rice and beans. Their shredded beef recipe is superb, with bounds of flavor. So many other places have full, mid range tasting beef, not here, robust & beefy! The service was prompt, efficient and regularly checked back in with us. Within seconds of ordering, our ice cold Corona beers were in front of us, with a choice of bottle, or ice cold mug. A wedge of citrus was also provided without having to ask! Our platters were served to us within minutes of ordering. We had just enough time to knock down a few house chips and salsa. The only minus, and was sometimes an issue before the closure too, was the salsa was watery, although still very tasty. Unlike previous to closure visits, it looks like ownership put in some elbow grease and the restaurant was clean and previously dilapidated furniture had been repaired, reupholstered and items that were previously worn had been replaced/refinished. In so glad they're back and still quite reasonably priced too!
Just went last night and thought it was a nice overall place to grab the standard Mexican fare. Service was attentive, timely and friendly. Food was very tasty. . We had 2 combos with cheese & ground beef enchilada, & shredded & ground beef tacos. We were with our friends who enjoyed their meals too and found lots of shredded beef for their tostada! I highly recommend this little place, good food, nice service and clean surroundings, and NOT over priced.
Great tradItional Mexican fare. I'm seriously addicted to their shredded beef tacos. Take out is fast, food is good and hot and tasty. I've been coming here for nearly 50 years-I do wish they'd clean it up and make it look nicer so that they'd have more business. For me it's a little bit of childhood nostalgia food is def 5 star, one star off for shabby decor. Ps:Taco Tuesday is a good deal, you can add a salad for a dollar! Oh and their wine margaritas are good.
